Redundancy Settings

The Redundancy Settings task is for setting redundancy parameters in a redundant controller configuration. This feature is only available for certain redundant array controllers with firmware that supports it.

You have the option to set the following parameters:

Preferred Path Mode

The preferred path mode allows you specify how I/O to the logical drives will be managed through redundant controllers that are in an Active-Active configuration. If the preferred path mode is set to Automatic, the storage system will automatically select the preferred path for logical drives based on host I/O patterns. If the preferred path mode is set to Manual, you can manually set the preferred path for each logical drive.

Preferred Logical Drive Paths

The preferred logical drive paths allow you to manually set the preferred I/O path for each logical drive in an Active-Active redundant controller configuration. This feature is only available if the preferred path mode is set to Manual. Select the preferred controller for each logical drive.
